CariVu™ uses safe, near-infrared light to transilluminate the tooth's enamel and highlight porous lesions/cavities and defects that absorb the light. This allows the clinician to see through the tooth, exposing its structure and the actual structure of any carious lesions with very high accuracy.
We can now scan questionable areas of the patient's mouth in a few minutes, providing a more comprehensive view of their oral health.
