Operation Smile - Oct 2013 - Mission to the Dominican Republic

Dr. Mike Gioffre, a team leader with Operation Smile on a dental mission, provided dental care to the less fortunate adults and children of the Dominican Republic. During that 5 day mission (Oct. 21-25th), Doc Mike along with the team of volunteers, had the opportunity to treat 533 patients.

Operation Smile

This was Dr. Gioffre's 18th mission with Operation Smile. He has been a regular volunteer since 1997 and has traveled the globe with Operation Smile to a number of countries providing education and treatment to thousands of patients worldwide.

Along with the other volunteers, the Wilmington, DE dentist works to make the world a better place, one smile at a time!

Dr. Gioffre, Dr. Dane, and Dr. Taub, plan to return to the Dominican Republic in 2014 as well as particiapte in Operation Smiles 25th Anniversary mission to Vietnam in the fall of 2014.
